Wife accused of raping husband
A 40-year-old married woman from Seoul has for the first time ever in the history of South Korea, been accused of martial rape. She has been charged with raping her husband.
The Seoul Central Prosecutors' Office told the court that the woman locked up her husband inside their home and forced him to have sex with her, reports Yonhap News Agency.
They alleged that the woman indulged in this act so 'she could obtain favourable evidence to use in divorce proceedings'.
It was only in 2013 that marital rape was recognised as a crime for the first time in South Korea.
