ILLINOIS: A father burnt his 11-year-old son's face with a steaming iron after a night of drinking.

The man suspected his son of stealing a dollar from him and he wanted the young boy to confess, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

The 39-year-old man from Chicago had come back home after spending a night outside and was in a foul mood as his fighter had lost a boxing match that he had been watching earlier and he also had car trouble on his way back home. He was most likely also suffering from a hangover after he had spent the whole night drinking with his friends.

The man flew off in a rage when he found his 1 dollar missing from his dresser.

He woke his son up by beating him with a belt and then he used the hot iron to burn his son's arm and hand to make him confess to his 'crime'.

The boy continued denying taking the money when the man burnt his son's chin with the hot iron.

The man has been arrested on charges of child battery and has been held on $100,000 bond.
