'Live cockroach' on the menu for newly-wed couple

A couple spending the first day of their honeymoon in Saudi Arabia started their marriage life with a big shock when they found a live cockroach in their meal, a newspaper reported on Saturday.

The couple had gone into town and ordered a big meal from a restaurant to take it to their rented house in the central town of Buraidah, Sharq Arabic language daily said.

“They were about to start devouring their delicious meal when they both froze…a cockroach was crawling in the rice,” the paper said, adding the husband reported the incident to health authorities.
