Many Brits think Mount Everest is in Britain!

If the shocking findings of a survey are to be belived, more than one in five British adults are clueless about which countries make up the United Kingdom.

One is 20 people polled also do not know that Stonehenge is in Britain and a lot of those surveyed believe that Mount Everest is in Britain, reveals The Sun.

About six in 10 adults think that Britain's highest peak is Ben Nevis, Snowdon or even Mount Everest.

The firm that conducted the survey believes that the internet is to blame for the lack of knowledge among the British people. Every information is available now at the click of the mouse and hence people don't feel the need to 'store' any knowledge in their brains, the managing director of Journeys of Distinction was quoted by the tabloid.
