Mother arrested for selling son

Jessica Marie Beers, 28-year-old, tried to sell her own 5-year old son for money. The amount was mere $2,000, reports couriermail.com.

She is now jailed and a bail is set at $10,000. The Florida woman is charged of selling of parental rights - a felony. She also faces probational violation charge stemming from a previous arrest for grand theft.

She allegedly made this arrangements with James Gardner and his wife, who attend the same church as Ms Beers. Mr Gardner said he and his wife have previously babysat Ms Beers' child and assisted her financially.
