Airlines food safety flaws continue as yet another passenger bit into a needle in a sandwich served onboard. This time on an Air Canada flight from Victoria to Toronto.
"The airlines officials are co-operating with officials. The safety of passengers is our first priority," Air Canada spokesperson said, according to a maktoob news report.
Meanwhile, caterers are also being investigated and they have claimed to fully co-operate.
The incident follows reports that needles were found in six sandwiches on Delta flights from Amsterdam to US recently.
However, investigating officials say there has been no clues as yet to link the incidents.
One of the passengers on a Delta flight recalled biting into something hard while he relished a turkey sanwich. He first presumed it was a bone. However, he was shocked to find an inch-long needle when he pulled it out.
