Rabbit gives birth to elephant-like freak

A rabbit in the Palestinian town of Gaza gave birth to an elephant-like freak and vets said this might have been caused by genetic disorders.

Owner Mohammed Saad Qadeeh said he was surprised when he saw the creature, adding that the rabbit had previously given birth to nine healthy baby rabbits.

“Vets told me this could have been caused by genetic disorders…but this is the first time I see such a case,” he said.

Newspapers in Palestine said a mother rabbit at another farm in Gaza gave birth to a similar creature last year.
