Man sells Dh22 watch for over Dh128k

A Phoenix man stumbled upon a windfall at a thrift store when he spotted a rare watch tagged a mere $5.99 (Dh22)! And he sold it for a whopping $35,000 (Dh128,560) to a collector’s website.

Zach Norris claims it was a 1959 Jaeger-LeCoultre driving watch, and that there were only 900 of the watches ever made, reported ‘AZFamily.com’.

Excited with his find, he even refused to hand it over for being scanned… "I just didn't want to let it go”.

Explaining how the Goodwill store may have missed the treasure, Norris says, “sometimes they just miss it, they don't know… it's not a very fancy-looking piece. You have to know what it is."
