Plane makes diversion after passenger gets stuck in loo

A plane flying from Washington D.C. to San Francisco had to make a diversion after a passenger got stuck in the toilet.

A woman on the United Airlines flight on Wednesday (25.09.19) couldn't get the door open and as a result, they had to land at Denver International Airport.

Firefighters then came on board the aircraft to free the woman, "who was embarrassed, but otherwise unharmed", according to CBS."

The flight eventually landed in San Francisco at 11pm.

A statement by the airline said: "We are reaching out to all customers onboard and the customer in the lavatory to apologise."
