Thirsty pigeon gulps water from cop's hand

A pigeon feeling thirsty in on a scorching summer day in Saudi Arabia was caught on camera, perching safely on a police car and gulping water from a cop’s hand.

The picture in the Saudi capital Riyadh was applauded by viewers, who said the cop’s behaviour reflected his kindness for "God’s creatures", according to 'Sada' newspaper.

The picture showed the policeman cupping his hands to offer water to the pigeon while another cop stood smiling in the background.
