Fathom yourself eyeball to eyeball with a Bengal tiger?

Well, that's what exactly happened at the Florida animal park Jungle Island on Saturday. Only that, it was two-year-old girl facing a 500-pound Bengal that had escaped its enclosure.

Diana Barrat was in for a shock seeing her daughter Dianita facing the tiger, MSNBC reported.

While visitors were rattled with this incident, Jungle Island's Ashley Serrate dismissed it as a "freak...isolated incident."

The giant cat is believed to have leapt over the perimeter barricarde around its enclosure after being stirred into a frenzy by a white-handed gibbon that had escaped its own pen due to mechanical and human error, the report said.

Barrat, little Dianita and other visitors were escorted to safety by park staff.
