Was it a mirage or was it a mermaid…

A Saudi man rushed to the border and coast guard in the Gulf Kingdom and told them to search for a man who had asked him before going into the sea to report his absence in case he failed to come back.

A large number of coast guard units immediately deployed in the area and began an extensive combing operation in search for that man.

After failing to spot any person on the beach and in the water, the units returned to base exhausted and disappointed. But their frustration soon turned into a surprise when the informant told them he did not meet any man when he was summoned by coast guard to explain his report.

“I did not see or meet any person in that area,” the unnamed man told the coast guard officer in the northwestern town of Haql.

“It could have been hallucination…this case had happened to me before, especially when I went to the sea,” he said, according to the Saudi Arabic language daily Alwatan.
