Worker fired for using wrong tea in canteen

A supermarket worker has been fired from a store in England for using the wrong teabags.

James Alden says he was dismissed for using Twinings Lady Grey teabags in the staff canteen instead of the supermarket's own brand.

He was told in a formal letter that his offense was 'misappropriation of company stock by taking items into the canteen without making prior payment'.

A spokesman said Mr Alden was dismissed for breaching a number of our business procedures, but could appeal.
