The Council of Ministers of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) will hold its 39th meeting in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

The organisation's Secretary General, Abbas Ali Al Naqi said the meeting will be presided over by the Council's current chair Iraqi Oil Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi.

High on the meeting's agenda are the organisation's general secretariat budget for 2015 and a review of the conferences and seminars organised or attended by Opec in 2014, as well as a follow-up of the talks related to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Kyoto Protocol.

The meeting coincides with the 10th Arab Energy Conference, to be held in Abu Dhabi on Sunday under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The three-day conference will be chaired by the UAE Energy Minister Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei.
