Pakistan hails aid offered by Islamic countries

Finance Minister of Pakistan Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has expressed his government's thanks and appreciation for the assistance provided by Arab and Islamic countries to the flood victims.

Dr Abdul Hafeez, in a meeting with the ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries accredited to Pakistan, said that government will assess the damage caused to infrastructure and devise a strategy for reconstruction and rehabilitation of areas affected by the flood.

Ali Saif Sultan Al Awani, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, was also present.
