Braga or bust for Man Utd's Nani: Or then, crazy Balotelli swap on

The one player Sir Alex Ferguson does not want to put on the Premier League auction block is Nani.

Manchester United can wrap up their spot in the Champions League knockout phase on Wednesday if they can take maximum points off Portugese side Braga. More than that, however, this will decide the future of Nani.

Nani is set to start the game in a last chance to prove he still belongs at United.

Sir Alex is likely to rest Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney, playing Danny Wellbeck and Javier Hernandez wth Nani

Nani reminded Manchester United just how precocious a talent he is with a fine chipped finish against Chelsea in the Capital One League Cup.

More than anything else Fergie has to beware of the Mario Balotelli situation at Manchester City and that come January, Roberto Mancini may ship Mad Mario and be ready to get a new striker for the Etihad.

More than that if City decide to get rid of Crazy Mario, Nani could be offered on a swap deal to bring Balotelli to Old Trafford, if for nothing else, then at least to do a Carlos Tevez on Mancini.

Nani would be ideally suited to the style of play at the Etihad and be driven, like Tevez to strike back at United.

Mancini lacks natural wide players and Nani would give his attack the depth he desperately needs.

Press reports suggest Mancini wants Neymar, but if it is Nani, then so be it.
