Arsenal striker Gervinho is doing his best to woo his former teammate at French Ligui side Lille Eden Hazard who to Emirates Stadium.
Hazard last week expressed he was ready to leave France at the end of the current season with both Milan clubs reportedly contacting the playmaker during the last transfer window.
But Gervinho says the 20-year-old Belgian wunderkid "has everything it takes to triumph in England".
Gervinho spent two years alongside Hazard at Lille, with the pair winning the Ligue 1 title together last campaign.
The young Belgian has since been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Inter and AC Milan.
"Hazard is a young player with enormous quality," Gervinho told French radio RMC Sports. "If he has decided to leave, it is normal for clubs to be interested, as he has the level to triumph in England.
"Eden has learnt a lot at Lille, and I believe he could succeed abroad. Where he goes is up to the clubs. But it will be a big operation."
Hazard insists he will not move away from Stade Metropole in January, but Lille boss Rudi Garcia still questioned the timing of his star's comments.
"Hazard's words? I have no problem with the content," Garcia told France Football. "He has only repeated what everyone has known for a while. The timing was not the best."
