Every now and then, Cristiano Ronaldo reminds Old Trafford that he has not forgotten his time there and well, may return some day.

The latest strike from the Portuguese and Real Madrid hitman comes from an interview to by CNN World Sport where he admits that he misses Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and a Champions League during his six-year spell at the Manchester club.

“I really miss him because I have a great relationship with him,” Ronaldo said.

“He's a fantastic person, a human person. He taught me many things. Like I said before, he's like a father in football.”

Asked on the exclusive interview how tough Ferguson can be on his players, Ronaldo replied: “Very tough. I think sometimes he cannot be like that because, how old is he? 70? It's not good for his heart.

“He's still tough, strong, I remember him the first time I saw him he was with the same power.”

Fergie yesterday admitted he would love to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fergie said: “There’s every chance Ronaldo might leave Real, you never know.

"I would like to think he could return to Old Trafford but I don’t think it will happen.

"You’re talking about incredible amounts of money,” he was quoted as saying in The Sun.
