Man Utd want 'Patrick Viera’ for Arsenal lock-out

Manchester United have Arsenal’s golden striker – Robin Van Persie.

Now Sir Alex Ferguson is on the lookout for a Patrick Viera to go with his Arsenal frontman.

According to The Metro (Read more) , the Old Trafford boss has zoomed in on Victor Wanyama, the Kenyan international at Celtic.

The Metro states that Sir Alex is willing to pay £12 million to bring the player to Old Trafford, although Celtic value him at a price closer to £25 million.

United’s midfield is still in need of some work, with Michael Carrick looking shaky and Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes not getting any younger.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also tracking Wanyama.
