Spurs to steal Hazard from Arsenal

Spurs are poised to make a swoop for Arsenal target Eden Hazard.

The Sun reports that White Hart Lane moved a step closer to signing the 21-year-old Lille sensation.

The attacking midfielder has revealed he may join Tottenham, it said.

Arsenal had been favourites to land Hazard, who has a release clause of £33 million.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have also been trailing the incredibly talented Belgian.

But Hazard admitted: "Maybe it will be Tottenham -  they're a big English club. I said I would go to England and they have some very good players there."

Despite being constantly monitored by English sides, Hazard looked set for a move to Spain or Italy before admitting last month that he favoured a switch to the Premier League.

Hazard, a team-mate of former England star Joe Cole, would be a major signing for Spurs.

But Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who rates Hazard highly, is likely to fight them all the way.
