Wenger ready for Arsenal clean out

A clearing out seems imminent at Arsenal.

According to British newspaper reports, Arsene Wenger is ready to dump some of his players as he cannot risk failure any longer.

Sebastien Squillaci, Marouane Chamakh and even Andrei Arshavin are all up for the chop.

Squillaci, 31, is said to be priced in the region of £2million.

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, 34, who had a spell on loan at West Ham, will also be available for around £300,000.

And Schalke are said to be showing interest in forward Andrey Arshavin, 30.
