Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced the debut of the Majestic Horse Collection in the UAE as a limited number of these bespoke Rolls-Royce Ghosts - which take their inspiration from classical interpretations of the horse that are found in Middle Eastern culture - will be available for UAE customers in the second quarter of 2014.
The vehicle presents a contemporary re-imagining of the traditional Arab representation of the horse in beautifully hand-crafted marquetry on the dash-board and embroidery in the headrest and cushions. The exterior is exquisitely finished with a horse motif, which is hand-applied to the twin coachlines.
The collection has been released in time for the Year of the Horse, according to the Chinese Zodiac, which is being celebrated in 2014. The convergence of two key themes of this auspicious year can be seen in the dashboard’s hand-crafted marquetry. In traditional Chinese culture, an ‘element’ is celebrated in conjunction with an animal. For the first time in over half a century, the element ‘wood’ and the horse are marked in the same year.
