Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has returned home on Tuesday leaving English county cricket half-way to take care of his ailing father, 'The News' reported.

Afridi has appealed to the nation for praying for his father’s health recovery.

The former Pakistan skipper was representing Hampshire in the English County cricket championship being played in England but just after receiving the news of his father’ illness he had to rush back to Pakistan.

Sahibzada Fazlur Rehman, father of Shahid Afridi, has been ill for a long period and he was admitted on previous day to a local hospital of Karachi where he has been kept in intensive care unit (ICU).

While talking with Geo News, Afridi has appealed to the nation for praying for his father.
