India crushed Australia for an unprecedented 65 and won by 243 runs in a Champions Trophy warmup game at Sophia Gardens on Tuesday.

If the match had been official, Australia would have been inflicted with its lowest score in a one-day international by five runs.

Five batsmen played on to their wickets in a woeful show, as Australia tried to chase India's 308-6, and was all out in 24 overs.

Captain Michael Clarke, who missed the win over West Indies on Saturday, also missed this match because of his ongoing back problems. He was to see a specialist in London on Wednesday, and was in doubt for the Trophy opener on Saturday against England.

Umesh Yadav tore out Australia's top order, claiming 5-18 off five overs. Fellow quick Ishant Sharma took 3-11 off five.

India had been in similar trouble at 55-5 in the 17th over, but Dinesh Karthik and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni revived them with a 211-run stand in 30 overs. Dhoni was out for 91 while Karthik finished 146 not out from 140 balls.
