The ticket office at the Dubai Sports City head office is set to extend its opening hours to offer greater opportunity for fans to buy tickets ahead of Friday’s crunch third One-Day International between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The office will be open from 0900 to 2100 on Thursday, the day before the match, and will then reopen at 0800 on match-day.

From 1200 on match-day ticket sales will transfer to the venue box office next to the stadium.

The match starts at 1500 local time. Provision has been made for Jummah prayers at 1220, very close to the stadium, and there will be signs directing people to the area where they will take place.

Dubai Sports City General Manager – Sports Business Maqbul Dudhia said: “We appreciate many fans that want to see Friday’s match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium lead busy lives and may not be able to buy tickets on-line or make it to one of our many ticketing outlets throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah beforehand.

“By extending the opening hours of our box office facility at Dubai Sports City head office until nine o’clock on Thursday night, we are aiming to ensure that those fans have the best opportunity to get hold of their tickets.

“The box office will reopen at eight o’clock on Friday until 12 noon when ticket sales will switch to the venue box office next to the stadium. Fans are encouraged to get their tickets as soon as they can as the match is shaping up to be pivotal with the series level at 1-1 and so we are anticipating a substantial crowd.

“If fans cannot get to the Dubai Sports City head office, there are numerous outlets throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah detailed on our website – www.dubaisportscity.ae – and there is also the option of purchasing on-line via Box Office ME, Time Out Dubai and the Ticketing Co.

“Provision has been made for Jumma Prayers at 1220, very close to the stadium, and there will be signs directing people to the area where they will take place.

“It is all part of Dubai Sports City’s aim to be fan-friendly.

“And through our use of social media like Twitter, Facebook and Audioboo we are constantly seeking to bring fans closer to the action,” he added.

The Dubai Sports City head office is off Emirates Road and is situated just below the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
