Al Ahli will be partnering with successful sports group E-Sports to increase involvement in the Dubai community, focusing on grassroots football

Al Ahli FC will be exclusively delivering coaching clinics to E-Sports and associated schools throughout the 20011/12 season

The club will offer access to their coaching staff, all of whom have plied their trade at mega clubs such as Manchester City, Sunderland, Manchester United to name but a few and will be making regular visits to the E-Sports Football Academy at Dubai American Academy (Al Barsha), E-Sports Partner School and to the E-Sports Junior Football League

Al Ahli Club CEO Ahmed Khalifa Hammad said: "The club wants to open its doors by offering the coaching expertise to as many children as possible, helping drive football and health in Dubai’s community. We want everyone to know about the positive experiences at Al Ahli FC and if we find the next Messi whilst doing this exciting Grassroots programme with E-Sports, we will be even happier."

E-Sports General Manager Gareth Mordey said: "This is a ground breaking initiative that we are very excited about. To have an active partnership with a Club of the statue of Al Ahli Football Club will allow our children, parents and coaches a good insight to a professional club and its resources. We will have Al Ahli coaching staff visit our Academy, Al Ahli Players visit our partner schools and will have presence and unique visits to our Junior Football League throughout the year as well as visits to the Rashid Stadium by our Children, Parents and Coaches."

The objectives of both parties is to increase the skill level and opportunities for young children, from all backgrounds to experience football and the health advantages of playing sport, with the underlying opportunity of scouting for unseen talent in the region

There will also be special appearances from Al Ahli FC 1st team players, plus announced visits by Fabio Cannavaro, the 2006 Italian World Cup captain and Al Ahli technical director.
