The poor run of the much-hyped Andy Carroll has sent Liverpool’s manager Kenny Dalglish out into the transfer market again.

According to press reports Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega is on the Liverpool radar.

The Colombian striker has also drawn interest from Premier League rivals Everton, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Wigan will first want Rodallega, who made a return from a knee injury in their defeat to Bolton last week, and starts at Newcastle this week, to help them get clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile the Kop faithful will raise their eyebrows at the interest King Kenny is allegedly showing in Rodallega. His pedigree to be a Liverpool player is certainly not proven. And they would not want another Carroll-type white elephant.
