Andrey Arshavin, Arsenal’s £15million buy launched an attack on manager Arsene Wenger that is not unlike one of his fierce 30-yard drives.

The striker was quoted by 'The Sun' as saying: "When you have a mundane, domestic problem, he's always very supportive. But when it comes to Arsenal, no one would dare approach him with questions about football or suggestions to change something round. Everyone knows what the answer would be."

Arsenal are right now in revival mode and Wenger will not want his happy camp disturbed.

Any more points dropped by Arsenal, could see them lose their chance to go top 4. Arshavin also dropped a major hint he could quit Arsenal after getting fed-up of being “glued to the bench.”

He does not want to leave the Gunners but says he may have to reconsider his future if he does not play more regularly. Arshavin has been linked with a return to Russia but says his former club Zenit St Petersburg would be the only move he would consider.

“Right now I don’t think about changing clubs. If I will be benched for a very long time, then such an issue might be relevant,” Arshavin told a Russian newspaper. “I still want to play for 90 minutes, but now I am glued to the bench. I wouldn’t like to play for a Russian club other than Zenit.”

Arshavin has become a regular substitute at the Emirates after falling behind Theo Walcott and Gervinho in the pecking order.
