Atletico Madrid draws 0-0 with Osasuna in Spain

Atletico Madrid was held to a 0-0 draw by Osasuna on Sunday in both teams' Spanish league opener.

Atletico created more chances, hitting the post once in each half, but Osasuna held firm to split the points at Vicente Calderon stadium.

Atletico was without Diego Forlan and Radamel Falcao. Uruguay striker Forlan is expected to sign with Inter Milan soon, while new signing Falcao was unavailable due to a delay in his transfer from FC Porto.

The 12:00 noon local time start inaugurated the Spanish league's scheduling change this season.

Later, Real Madrid visits Zaragoza, while Sevilla plays Malaga.
