Former Manchester United star David Beckham says Manchester United should sign Wesley Sneijder, British tabloid ‘The Sun’ reported.

“Sneijder is such a talented player,” said the ex-England skipper of Inter Milan’s Dutch schemer, who replaced him at Real Madrid.

He said: “He’s a great guy and I’m sure he’d fit right into a Manchester United team. He could do a job there, without a doubt.”

Becks, 36, says United need one of the best to fill the boots of Paul Scholes, who retired in May.

He added: “Scholesy is such a great talent and he will be missed.

“They’re going to have to get someone special.”

While pals Scholes and Gary Neville have quit, Beckham has hinted he will carry on with the LA Galaxy.

He said: “This is the last year in my contract but I enjoy playing in this league, for this franchise, with the players we have and with Bruce Arena as my manager.”
