Brazilian full-back Fagner is set to leave Vasco da Gama to join Wolfsburg, according to a report by German daily Bild citing the president of the Brazilian club.

"I've spoken to the people involved and the situation is irreversible," said Vasco president Roberto Dinamite.

"Fagner has made a decision and we have to respect his wishes."

According to Bild, Fagner, 23, has already set off for Germany to complete a transfer reported to be worth four million euros ($4.86 million).

If Fagner joins Wolfsburg, he will be the club's second Brazilian signing of the summer, after Naldo arrived from Werder Bremen to become coach Felix Magath's seventh signing during the summer transfer window.

Fagner began his professional career with Corinthians in 2006 and has already endured a negative experience of European football, having spent the 2007-08 campaign at Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven before joining Vasco.
