Chelsea have their Drogba… and it's not Falcao

Chelsea have striker problems and they know it.

Even the six goal romp over Championship side Wolves will not hide the fact that it was Gary Cahill, Ryan Bertrand and Juan Mata that scored before the likes of Oriol Romeu (penalty) and only then did Fernando Torres and Victor Moses clean up.

The massive hole left by Didier Drogba is proving hard to fill for Roberto Di Matteo and the task of defending the Champions League title clearly sees the Blues a striker short.

Ironically, the man who is looking more and more like the natural Drogba replacement is a Chelsea player out on loan.

Romelu Lukaku is over at West Bromwich Albion and scoring freely.

Clearly Di Matteo needs a Plan B for when his Torres-centered attack misfires.

With the likes of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar pulling the strings that should set up a Lukaku-type of point man nicely.

Lukaku's goal clinched a 1-0 win over Reading to move West Brom to the top four in the Premier League. He has two goals now for the Baggies.

The Sun exclusively reported that Chelsea are plotting a £45million swoop for Colombian superstar Radamel Falcao in January.

However, with a Drogba in their ranks next season, who knows?
