It’s probably the best news Liverpool fans have heard in some time – at least since the Carling Cup.
According to a Sunday Mirror report, the flop of the Premier League season Andy Carroll will be sold by Anfield in the summer.
Needless to say, having cost 35 million pounds, Carroll with his five goals all season will probably go at a massive loss to the club.
But that may be the kind of revamp the club needs and one that manager Kenny Dalglish, having protected the likes of Carroll and Luis Suarez for so long, might have to carry out.
The Mirror report quoted an Anfield insider as saying that people at Liverpool are concerned that Carroll has just not adapted at all.
When you look at Carroll’s Newcastle record - 31 league goals in 57 league starts – it beggars belief that he has flopped so badly at Liverpool.
Part of the problem could be the price tag.
According to a Daily Mail report (https://bit.ly/HG9sMI) The England international has admitted to friends that he has struggled to deal with the attention, pressure and the expectation of the transfer fee paid for him.
