Wolves midfielder Karl Henry has been ruled out of action for three to four weeks with a hamstring injury, the Premier League club confirmed on Tuesday.

Former captain Henry suffered the injury during Sunday's 5-0 defeat by Fulham at Craven Cottage and a scan confirmed the damage.

Wolves caretaker boss Terry Connor has recalled David Davis from a loan spell at Chesterfield to cover in midfield.

"Karl has had the scan which has shown up a hamstring strain, and he is expected to be out for three to four weeks," said Connor.

"As a result of his injury, and also with Dave Edwards being unavailable at Fulham, we have decided to recall David Davis from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

"It gives us another option given the injuries and we've had David watched closely on loan at both Inverness and Chesterfield this season where he has done very well."

Henry had only just returned after having to serve a three-match suspension for his red card against Aston Villa last month.
