Lille baffled over disappearing Park

Lille were left baffled on Saturday at the disappearance of Park Chu-Young, Monaco's South Korean striker who failed to show up for a medical having agreed terms to join the French champions.

Lille president Michel Seydoux said: "We haven't had a telephone call, nothing."

Seydoux fears that Park may have jilted Lille in favour of a move to the English Premier League.

"From what we understand he could be at Arsenal," the Lille boss said.

Park had been due at the northern French side to continue with the traditional pre-signing medical which he had begun on Friday.

"Like Monaco, Lille are baffled," added Seydoux, adding: "Everything (about his move) had been agreed.

"This type of behaviour is not acceptable, in any event it doesn't correspond with the spirit here at Lille."
