Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus have all shown interest in Manchester United winger Nani.

But the United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is not yet ready to sell the Portuguese winger, it would seem.

According to reports in the British press, Nani is to be given a mega pay rise by Manchester United.

The Sun reports that United plan to move Nani, on £90,000 a week, up to £130,000 a week, alongside the likes of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. Both Milan clubs and Juventus are showing interest in a summer raid.

The 24-year-old has 18 months left on his contract and Fergie is said to resist any attempts to cash in on his current £30million rating.

More importantly is the fact that Fergie believes Nani can develop along the same lines as Portugese legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nani has often proved temperamental, prone to theatrics and at times, lacking in commitment.

However, that he has sublime talent is without doubt. It is to get him to perform more consistently that Fergie will endeavor.
