Man Utd’s fixture list tilts title towards Reds

Manchester United's bid to reclaim the Barclays Premier League trophy in 2012/13 will begin with a short trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

This opening match is initially scheduled for Saturday 18 August.

The first five games for United are relatively easier - Everton (away), Fulham (home), Southampton (away), Wigan Athletic (home) and Liverpool (away).

That’s enough matches for the Reds to put full points on the board before meeting Liverpool.

However, the last five games for United will be much, much tougher.

It’s Aston Villa (home), Arsenal (away), Chelsea (home), Swansea City (home) and West Bromwich Albion (away), meaning a nail-biting end to the season is once again on the cards.
