Man who could make the difference for Man Utd

Michael Owen needs only one chance.

It was that kind of strike rate that made him the best, and despite being a bench warmer for Manchester United, he believes should the time come, he will be the man to make the key difference to United’s title charge.

In an exclusive report in The Sun (https://bit.ly/HrAhFw) Owen was quoted as saying he hopes to be the ace up Alex Ferguson's sleeve as he looks to recover from injury in time for the title race run-in.

Sir Alex Ferguson is said to happy to have his striker back in the mix.

Owen said: "Let's hope he's right. I know that if he's in need of a goal and he puts me on, then I'll certainly be hoping and thinking that I could do what he's said.

"It's been a tough few months, seeing the lads running out one way to the pitches and me walking another to the gym.

"The end is nearly in sight. I've just started training again so hopefully in a few weeks I'll be back and hopefully available for selection."
