Rangers booked their place in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a comprehensive 4-0 victory over minnows Arbroath at Gayfield on Sunday.
The Second Division side twice had chances to take the lead before Rangers striker David Healy opened the scoring in the 17th minute.
The Gers soon doubled their lead four minutes later through a Craig Wedderburn own goal.
Arbroath had a penalty claim turned down at the start of the second half before strikes from Nikica Jelavic and substitute Salim Kerkar made sure of their progression to the next round.
At Gayfield, Healy had a chance to put Rangers ahead in the first minute but the striker sliced his volley over the bar after getting on the end of Jelavic's headed knock down.
Arbroath soon settled into the match and Steven Doris burst into the Rangers box but pulled his effort wide before Allan McGregor had to scramble to tip Josh Falkington's dipping volley from the edge of the box over the bar.
Rangers soon showed their class when they took a 17th minute lead through Healy.
The Northern Irishman beat the offside trap to get on the end of Maurice Edu's pass and took a touch before poking the ball under keeper Darren Hill.
The Ibrox side doubled their lead just four minutes later when a good passing move saw Jelavic deliver a dangerous ball into the box which Wedderburn diverted past his own keeper.
Hill then made a great save to deny Rangers a third goal on the stroke of half-time when he tipped Sone Aluko's drive from 20 yards round the post.
The home fans were screaming for a penalty just after the break when sub Lee Sibanda went down in the box after bumping into Dorin Goian but the Arbroath players' protests were waved away by the referee.
Rangers made sure of their place in the fifth round when Jelavic made it 3-0 in the 59th minute. The Croatian got on the end of Aluko's excellent reverse pass to fire an angled first time effort in off the base of the post for his 15th goal of the season.
Substitute Kerkar wrapped up the win with his first senior goal in the 77th minute when the Algerian showed excellent technique to volley Healy's cross into the top corner beyond Hill.
