Rayo Vallecano beats Getafe 1-0 in Spain

Michu scored early to give promoted side Rayo Vallecano a 1-0 win at Getafe on Sunday in the Spanish league.

The Spanish midfielder was well placed at the far post to head home a corner kick flicked on by Botelho in the fourth minute.

Rayo then held on against winless Getafe to claim the Spanish capital derby — its first victory in Spain's top flight after eight seasons in the lower divisions.

Later, Real Madrid aims to extend its perfect start to the season at Levante.
