Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan says Harry Redknapp is "optimistic" of returning to take charge of the team for Monday's match against Aston Villa following heart surgery.

Redknapp underwent the procedure to unblock coronary arteries two weeks ago.

Jordan says "there's a possibility Harry will be back for the Villa game. He's very keen and optimistic of that happening."

Jordan also says the 64-year-old manager could "pop in during the lead up to that game."

Redknapp has been in charge of Tottenham for three years and is facing a trial in January on tax evasion charges.
