UAE will host Fifa World Club Cup 2017-2018

The UAE has been awarded the hosting rights for the Fifa World Club Cup 2017-2018, bringing the championship to the UAE after four years from the last time it hosted it.
 
FIFA, the international governing body of football, announced this in Zurich after  the FIFA's executive committee meeting.
 
Mid-December of every year, FIFA organises the international club football tournament between the champion clubs from each of the six continental confederations, as well as the national league champion from the host country.
 
Local champion clubs: Al Ahli Sports Club and Aljazira Sports Club took part in the two editions of the tournament which was hosted by the UAE.
