Vasco da Gama eye return for Ricardo

The president of Brazil giants Vasco da Gama is hoping that manager Ricardo can return to run the side next season -- if his health is up to it.

"It's a possibility but it depends a lot on him. He's very keen for it to happen," Roberto Dinamite told SporTV in an interview.

Ricardo himself said that his "ideal scenario" would be to sign for the Rio club for a year from next January, adding: "I've still got a good month-and-a-half of convalescence ahead of me."

The 47-year-old Ricardo, who played notably at Fluminense, Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica and made 48 appearances for Brazil, suffered a stroke while on the bench during a match between Vasco and Flamengo in August last year.
