Nani fears he is being frozen out at Manchester United after a breakdown in contract talks.

Nani, 25, is desperate to stay, but is not sure the club feel the same.

The £25 million-rated Portuguese winger fears the club is ready to sell him and wants his future sorted out in the next fortnight, according to The Sun.

His fears may be justified since United are preparing a £25 million bid for his Portugal team-mate after being frustrated with Spurs’ demands for Luka Modric.

Modric was Sir Alex Ferguson’s No 1 summer target and United were ready to bid £25m rising to £30m.

But Spurs have now quoted £40m for the Croatian and United will not pay that.

Nani has been trying to negotiate a new contract since the end of last season without success.

His future at Old Trafford remains uncertain and will not be going on the pre-season tour of South Africa and China.

Nani, on a three-week break after reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2012, wants his future sorted before the chief executive David Gill, boss Alex Ferguson and the squad fly out in 12 days.

This could test the resolve of United of Ferguson who was left fuming after talented teenager Paul Pogba signed up with Juventus.

Ferguson claimed the 19-year-old showed a lack of respect to United despite being promised improved first-team opportuinites and signed with Juventus a long time ago.
