Abu Dhabi Golf Club to host Pink Ladies Golf Day on October 14

Abu Dhabi Golf Club is gearing up to welcome ladies from across the UAE this month for the return of the annual Pink Ladies Golf Day.

The competition will raise much-needed funds for Breast Cancer Arabia and Cancer Research UK on October 14 with 12.30pm shotgun start.

Members and guests are invited to embrace this year’s ‘nursery rhyme’ fancy dress theme before taking on the stunning National Course at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Last year, 108 players took part in the four-ball shambles competition raising Dh78,405 for charity.

This year’s event looks set to be even more popular with a selection of more than 30 raffle prizes up for grabs ranging from Etihad flights, Grand Prix tickets, overnight stays at some of the UAE’s premier hotels and much more, thanks to our wonderful sponsors.

The day will conclude with an auction, fancy dress competition and a celebratory buffet in the Falcon Clubhouse.

Event organiser, Michelle Larter, said: “In August of this year I was privileged to be invited to visit the Southampton research centre where I met some of the staff and lab technicians. There I was able to see first-hand how the money raised each year is helping with the long hard fight against breast cancer, and the improvements that are being made in treatment.”
