Tickets are still up for grabs for those interested in catching up with the action in and around the tennis stadium for the next fortnight, as a full schedule of competitions, activities and promotions make the Tennis Village in Garhoud the place to be.

For those who missed out on coveted finals tickets there are great competitions to enter to be in with a chance to watch as the 2014 Dubai champions hold their impressive trophies aloft on finals night.

Fans who take a photo of themselves with their wristband in the grandstand on the first three days of each week can upload their selfie to the tournament Instagram, Foursquare or Twitter accounts to be in the #DDFSelfie draw to win finals tickets.

“The quality of the field is superb in both the men’s and women’s weeks, so the action in the early days will be spectacular. Tickets for the first three days are only Dh75, and with a women’s field which features the current world number one Serena Williams and four former world number ones including Venus Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, the fans are guaranteed some great matches right from Day one,” said Tournament Director Salah Tahlak.

“There are still tickets left at the box office for every day of the women’s tournament and for the early rounds of the men’s, and just taking a selfie there could win you finals tickets.

“In addition entry to courts 1,2 and 3 is free so you can see top class players in action on the outer courts as well. With so many top players competing, it is guaranteed that a number of them will play some early round matches on those courts”.

The tournament Facebook page, Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, will also be running some great competitions to win finals tickets, with the Check in Challenge and instant win flash competitions happening regularly throughout the tournament.

The ever popular Ladies’ Day is on again on Thursday February 20, followed by FANtastic Fan Day on Thursday February 27.

Ladies are invited to come dressed to impress, enjoy special lunch offers and enter the parade at 6pm to win great prizes including finals tickets.

On Fantastic Fan Day everyone is encouraged to dress up in their most outrageous tennis fan outfit on to support their favourite players.

Judging will take place just before the first evening match, when the camera will scan the crowd to spot the best dressed fans.

Those that get the loudest cheer from the crowd will walk away with tickets to the men’s finals.

There are plenty of other great prizes on offer too, and two lucky tennis fans will never forget the tennis this year as they drive away in magnificent Audis.

The winner of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Surprise Draw will become the proud owner of a 2014 Audi Q7, just by buying one of the 1,000 tickets selling for Dh500.

Another lucky fan will win a fan the keys to a 2014 Audi A3. All it will take is paying Dh10 to guess the exact number of tennis balls in the car, which will be parked in the village during the tournament.

Every day during the tournament spectators in the grandstand can play 'Catch and Win' as tennis balls are hit into the crowd before the evening matches. Every ball caught can be redeemed at the Dubai Duty Free Stand for great prizes from the sponsors.

The entertainment doesn’t end there, with roving performers in the Tennis Village on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week adding to the vibrant atmosphere.

The centre court action will be played live on the big screens, so a trip to the Dubai Tennis Stadium on any day of the week is guaranteed to be a great experience.

“We are really looking forward to the coming fortnight, with some spectacular tennis action on the courts every day and entertainment for everyone in the Tennis Village, it promises to be a wonderful tournament,” said Tahlak.
