Dubai will host the III Fifa Beach Soccer Workshop and the first ever Beach Soccer Stars night along with the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup .

"Few places embody the spirit of beach soccer better than Dubai. This trendy, young, vivid, international city is the perfect home,” says Joan Cusco, Executive Vice President and member of the FIFA Beach Soccer Committee.

This season marks the 4th time that Dubai has hosted the Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, and as always, has some of the worlds’ best teams set to compete for the title.

But that is not all... In the midst of the exciting on the field play, there will also be the FIFA Beach Soccer Workshop 2014.

The first week in November will be all about beach soccer in Dubai, as the city also plays host to the Beach Soccer Stars 2014 dinner and presentation. This event is the first of its kind and will celebrate the sports’ best. It will be a yearly occurrence, and Dubai was selected as the host city because of their top-class facilities and familiarity and love for beach soccer.

The years’ best coach, best goal; best player; best goalkeeper; rising star and the best five stars on the pitch will all be recognized in a very unique event.  Dubai has set itself apart as a dream beach soccer destination and these end of year events are proof of that.

The partnership with Dubai Sports Council  flourished in 2009 with the celebration of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009, an event that will not be easily forgotten; it formed a unique bond between beach soccer and Dubai. The 10-year-relationship has seen the sport grow from friendly events, before hosting the continental qualifiers to the World Cup

“The support we have received from the Dubai Sports Council, for which I cannot thank them enough, and from the people of Dubai, makes it clear that we have a bright future together. With all the things that Dubai offers, we cannot help wanting to come here year after year,” Joan said.

This is the 3rd edition of the workshop, the 2nd in Dubai, and will include all the experts of the sport ranging from heads of member associations to referees to ambassadors of the game, and everyone in between. The symposium will focus on the growth of beach soccer and the bright future ahead.

The Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup begins on November 4 – 8 at the Dubai International Marine Club. Entry is free. The UAE faces the reigning tournament champions Iran, Morocco, and Portugal. The second group features Japan, Russia, and the USA.
