Pradeep, Kashif and Rinoos shine in UAQ Kashmir T20 League
Pradeep P scored a scintillating century as YMCC outclassed Barbhaya Cricket Club by 161 runs in the 13th Kashmir T-20 League organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association.
The tournament is being held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.
Batting first, YMCC batsmen made merry smashing Barbhaya bowlers. Pradeep just faced 50 balls and slammed 11 boundaries and 15 sixes to score a superb 145.
Vinu Ramachandran scored 50 from 36 balls with the help of six boundaries and two sixes while Ashish Anand (30 not out) and Sylvester Vijay Kumar (27) made crucial contributions as YMCC amassed 294 for four wickets in 20 overs.
Chasing a huge target, Barbhaya were never in the hunt being bowled out for 133 in 13.3 overs.
In another match, Kashif scored a century to help Ajman Lions defeat FBC by 77 wickets.
His knock came off just 44 balls consisting of eight boundaries and seven sixes as they made 225 for two in 20 overs.
In reply, Ismail and Ali Asgar bagged two wickets each as FBC were bundled out for only 148 in 18 overs.
A five-wicket haul from Rinoos Mohammed saw Emirates Flight Catering secure a two-wicket victory over Al Taheri Chemicals.
Al Taheri managed only 136 in 20 overs.
In reply, Emirates Flight Catering got past the target in the 18th over with Chandarshekhar Bhute top scoring with 38 runs.
In the other matches, Spiders CC defeated Barbhaya CC by 55 runs while AK Rent A Car edged past Spiders CC by 16 runs. Brothersgas CC beat Trans Gulf LLC by 26 runs.
