Ticket sales for the upcoming Pakistan-South Africa matches at Dubai Sports City are experiencing a significant surge in demand ahead of Friday’s day-night One-Day International.

Platinum tickets for Friday’s match and also the Twenty20 Internationals on Wednesday November 13 and Friday November 15 are sold out.

Ticket sales in the other categories of seats are also selling very well.

And hospitality for the November 15 match is sold out.

Commenting on the high level of demand for tickets, Dubai Sports City General Manager – Sports Business Maqbul Dudhia said: “We are delighted that sales are so strong and we are looking forward to three great nights of action when Pakistan and South Africa go head-to-head under the Dubai International Stadium’s Ring of Fire lights.

“We have sought to make tickets easy and convenient to buy and to do that we have ensured they are available at a host of outlets throughout Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah as well as on line at Box Office ME and Time Out Tickets.

“On top of that, our pricing, with ODI tickets from Dh30 and T20I tickets from Dh40 mean they are within the range of the public who want to attend.

“The fact two of the Pakistan-South Africa matches are on a Friday evening is an added attraction and we know the spectators who come for the matches are going have a great time.

“If you have not bought your tickets for the upcoming matches yet then the message is clear – do it now or run the risk of being disappointed.”

As well as being available on line at Box Office ME and Time Out Tickets, tickets are also available at the Dubai Sports City head office, as well as a host of outlets around Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Individual corporate hospitality is also available for those wishing to watch the action in grand style, as are corporate and VIP suites for 12 and 24 people respectively.

And for those interested in hospitality, further details can be obtained by calling +971 4 425 1111 or +971 56 1361 059.

Dudhia added: “Looking further ahead to the Sri Lanka series that is coming up in December and January, the message is clear – buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

“Tickets for those matches – Twenty20 Internationals on 11 and 13 December and a One-Day International on 20 December – are already on sale online and with two of those matches, on 13 and 20 December, on Fridays we again expect heavy demand.

“The last time Dubai Sports City’s Dubai International Stadium hosted a Twenty20 International involving Pakistan – against Australia in September 2012 – it was a complete sell-out so if you want to catch the action coming up then our advice is to buy now.”

The upcoming action is part of Dubai Sports City’s biggest season yet for cricket.

In addition to the Pakistan series against South Africa and Sri Lanka, in November Dubai Sports City will play host to matches in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier, with the world’s top Associate and Affiliate sides battling to be among the six sides that will go forward to the main event next year in Bangladesh.

And in February it will stage matches in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

The Dubai International Stadium, which opened in 2009, has staged more Twenty20 Internationals than any other venue in the world.
