Boxing promoters are pitching for Abu Dhabi as the stage for Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito to fight in a multi-million-dollar duel.
Although a final decision is yet to be taken, a post on boxingscene.com said Pacquiao's advisor was in Abu Dhabi to negotiate a deal for the fight scheduled for November 13.
The website quoted a person named Koncz as saying Abu Dhabi officials were unable to arrive at a decision since they had only five days to study the megabuck event.
He was expected to take the negotiations further to examine if a deal was forthcoming.
